Chaperone

Sometimes patients ask if we can provide a chaperone to accompany them if they are having an examination with their GP.

This notice is to advise patients we can provide that service.

If you would like a chaperone, please ask your GP.

Home visits

Housebound patients and those too ill to attend the Medical Centre may request a home visit by using the AccuRx online patient service, the request will then be triaged by a clinician.

This request should include brief details of the problem so the doctor may judge the urgency of the visit.

Training Practice

We are a training practice and have GP registrars working with us undertaking their advanced training in General Practice. Registrars are qualified doctors who have had considerable hospital experience and generally stay with us for up to 12 months.

We also have medical students, junior doctors and nurses and other health professionals undergoing training with us from time to time.

Call Recording

Our telephone system records all telephone calls.  Recordings are retained for up to three years, and are used periodically for the purposes of seeking clarification where there is a dispute as to what was said and for staff training.  Access to these recordings is restricted to named senior staff.

Voice Connect

We also have a system called Voice Connect – this is an automated telephone service working alongside our Accurx Triage system. You can confirm, make and cancel appointments and order your monthly medication using your unique pin which is available from the reception team. To use this service please call 01908 046451.
