Patient Navigator positions

Are you looking for a busy role that will require you to use all of your excellent customer service skills?   

We are looking for well motivated, flexible employees to join our busy reception team who strive to ensure our patients receive the best possible service from the Practice.

You will be responsible for all reception duties, providing a high standard of face to face and telephone care for patients, staff and visitors.

You need excellent customer service and communication skills and a good knowledge of Windows-based computer systems.  Experience of working with SystmOne would be an advantage.

Each successful candidate will undertake a 4 month supervised training programme where you will learn the various aspects of the role working alongside a supportive Reception Team.

We have part time vacancies working 21 hours per week.  This will be a combination of morning and afternoon shifts of either 5/5.5 hours over four days with availability on the fifth day to cover for your colleagues.  You will also be expected to work a Saturday morning shift on a rota basis.  

The starting hourly rate will be £10.42 per hour.  We follow National Minimum Wage guidelines and this rate will change accordingly.

Clinician to work as part of our Urgent Care Team

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self motivated qualified practitioner who is registered with an appropriate body, to work as part of our Urgent Care Team here at Newport Pagnell Medical Centre. 

The successful candidate will deliver Minor Illness Clinics as part of the Urgent Care Team providing, assessment, treatment, screening, health education services and advice to patients.  You will have experience and competence in managing a General Practice caseload - including chronic case management, dealing with minor illness and injury and experience in diagnosing, prescribing and referring. 

Hours negotiable between Monday-Friday.  Work days and hours negotiable.

Practice Nurse with experience in Diabetes Care

Approximately 30 hours per week.

We are looking to recruit a Practice Nurse to join our team of Practice Nurses, HCA and Phlebotomists.  The team is managed by the Lead Nurse.

The successful candidate will be able to proviode treatment room duties and be experienced in diabetes care to work alongside two Diabetes Specialist Nurses. 

Skills required:

  • Assess, plan and implement effective long term condition care
  • Monitor and evaluate the outcome of planned care
  • Provide support, advice, education and information related to diabetes 
  • Support compliance with and adherence to prescribed treatments

The Practice holds Saturday morning clinics 8-12.30 and these are managed by the nursing team on a rota basis and will be additional to the contracted hours.  

We are a training practice and passionate about learning and development.  We support and encourage all our clinicians to follow up opportunities when they arise.

We will have a stall at the Jobs Fayre in Middleton Hall CMK on 8 and 9 September, do drop by for a chat.

Practice Manager

Full time - 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday

We are looking to appoint an experienced Practice Manager to lead our organisation on a full time basis.

The main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Overseeing day to day operations of the practice, ensuring that staff meet their responsibilities.
  • Supporting the delivery of excellent patient care.
  • Support and work with the partnership to set strategy and priorities for the practice.
  • Manage change through motivation and leadership.
  • Manage the financial elements of the practice in conjunction with the partners.
  • Lead change and continuous improvement initiatives.

Practice Business Manager - part time

Working ideally 3 days per week.

The main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Providing business development for the practice, working as part of the management team.  This includes roles within business and financial development, strategic management and development and project management.
  • Providing strategic guidance and planning to the partners.
  • Ensuring that the practice meets NHS targets and adapts to change within a profitable, effective and efficient working environment, with the support of the partnership and management team.

HR Administrator - part time

We are seeking a HR Administrator for approximately 20 hours per week, ideally with experience, to support the HR Manager.  You will provide comprehensive HR administration and support to ensure a high quality human resource service is provided to all staff within the Practice.

The ideal candidate will have a wide knowledge of Microsoft Office, excellent organisational skills and the ability to work on their own initiative.  You will have excellent communication skills both verbal and written and have experience of dealing with information in a confidential and sensitive manner.

This is a part time position 15-20 hours per week working Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Practice Operations Manager

Prescription Clerk

Part time - 26 hours per week working Mon to Fri.

We are looking for a well motivated, flexible employee to join our busy Patient Navigator Team, who strives to ensure our patients receive the best possible service from the Practice.

You will be responsible for processing prescriptions and provide an efficient and safe system of medication reviews, liaising with all relevant parties, including face to face, phone contact and emails with patients, clinicians and other healthcare professionals regarding medication queries.  You will ensure all administration duties and patient requests are processed in accordance with practice policy.

You need excellent customer service and communication skills and a good knowledge  of Windows-based computer systems.  Experience of working with SystmOne would be an advantage.
